And HTC isn't the only one coming out with hot new phones this year. RIM has already shown pictures of a full-touchscreen Blackberry, iMate has a blown-up version of the ATT Tilt called the 9520 which looks to be the smartest (but not the smallest) Smartphone around. Nokia has new offerings and the other manufacturers aren't kicking back doing nothing. By this summer, if not earlier, a whole plethora of new, powerful, and exciting Smartphones will be available.
As to when US wireless carriers will offer these is another question. The new RIM is a given but they've still got a lot of inventory to turn and commitments to meet on their current products. If you want to be an early adopter, you'll probably have to buy one unlocked from your favorite importer or on eBay.
Bottom line: If you're in the market for a new Smartphone and can wait a few months, you won't be kicking yourself later.
